Privacy Policy

Plop: Gary and Otto  ·  Android  ·  by Loopwit

Effective date: 29 May 2026  ·  Last updated: 20 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Loopwit ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with Plop: Gary and Otto (the "App"), a free casual mobile game available on Android (package ID: com.loopwit.plop).

We have written this policy to be plain and direct. The short version: your core game progress and settings live only on your device and are never sent to us. Separately, if you choose to take part in the optional in-game contest, a small amount of data is sent to a backend server we operate, as described in Section 4. A third-party advertising SDK (Google AdMob) may also collect limited data when you choose to watch an optional rewarded ad — see Section 5 for full details.

1. Who We Are

The App is developed and published by Loopwit, an independent mobile game studio. For privacy matters, Loopwit acts as the data controller in respect of any personal data processed in connection with the App.

For users in the European Union or UK, if you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy inquiry you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority (e.g., the ICO in the UK, or your EU member-state DPA).

2. Information Collected

A. Information we collect directly

There is no account system, login, or registration required to play the game. Your core gameplay (levels completed, scores, achievements, settings) is never sent to our servers — it stays on your device, as described in Section 2B below.

However, Loopwit does operate a backend server used only for the optional skill-based contest described in Section 4. If you take part in the contest, the App sends a small amount of data — an anonymous device identifier, level-completion events, and, only if you choose to enter, your email address — to that server. We do not collect this contest data unless the contest feature is present and used; it is entirely separate from normal gameplay.

B. Data stored locally on your device

The App saves the following data only on your device using Android's local storage:

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible by us or any third party. It is deleted when you uninstall the App.

C. Connectivity check

Before showing an optional rewarded ad, the App makes a brief outbound HTTP request to a Google endpoint (connectivitycheck.gstatic.com) to test whether your device has an active internet connection. This request contains no personal data and no response body is stored or transmitted to us. It is a standard Android network reachability probe.

D. Data collected by Google AdMob (third-party SDK)

The App integrates Google AdMob to serve optional rewarded video ads only. Rewarded ads are purely opt-in — you choose to watch an ad in exchange for in-game rewards; no ads are shown automatically, and there are no banner or interstitial ads.

When AdMob is active, Google may collect, as an independent data controller:

Google AdMob operates under its own privacy policy and terms. We do not receive, store, or control the data AdMob collects. Please see Section 5 for opt-out instructions.

3. How Information Is Used

Data Purpose Who processes it
Local game progress & settings Save your place in the game between sessions Stored on your device only; not accessed by Loopwit
Connectivity probe Determine if rewarded ads can load Handled entirely by your device's OS; no data stored
Ad-related data (AdMob) Serve and measure optional rewarded video ads; personalise ads based on interests Google LLC, acting as an independent data controller

We do not use any data for profiling, marketing, analytics, or any purpose beyond what is described above. We do not sell data, share data for cross-context behavioural advertising, or monetise data in any way.

4. Contest & Backend Data

The App includes an optional, skill-based contest: if you clear Level 75 during an active contest window, you can choose to enter a draw for a gift card. To run this contest fairly and verify genuine completions, Loopwit operates a backend server (hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States, reached at contest.loopwit.com over encrypted HTTPS/TLS) that receives the data described below. Taking part in the contest is entirely optional — if you never engage with the contest screens, no contest data is sent.

What data is collected

Data What it is When collected Purpose
Anonymous device identifier A randomly generated ID and token created on install. This is not your Android Advertising ID and is not linked to your name or any other real-world identity. On app install, for all players Identifies the device for contest purposes only
Gameplay progress events The level number you completed, a timestamp, and how long the level took Each time you complete a level, for all players Builds a verifiable progress trail to confirm a genuine Level-75 completion and detect fraudulent contest claims
Email address The email you type in, plus your confirmation that you are 18 or older Only if you actively choose to enter the contest after clearing Level 75, and tick the consent box Notify you if you win and arrange delivery of the gift card. Optional / opt-in.
All data sent to our backend is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS and stored in a private database that is not publicly accessible. Loopwit does not sell or share this data with third parties. Your email address is used solely to contact contest winners and deliver the prize.

You can request deletion of any contest data associated with you at any time by emailing [email protected]. See Section 9 for how long contest data is kept, and Section 11 for details on the international transfer of this data to the United States.

5. Third-Party Services — Google AdMob

The App uses Google AdMob, a mobile advertising service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). AdMob is integrated via the Google Mobile Ads SDK for Android.

What AdMob does

AdMob delivers optional rewarded video ads and may use device identifiers and interest data to show you personalised ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time — your choice does not affect your ability to watch rewarded ads; you may simply see less relevant ads.

How to opt out of personalised ads

We do not integrate any analytics SDKs, crash-reporting services, social login, payment processors, or other third-party libraries beyond Google AdMob.

7. Your Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have the following rights regarding personal data. These rights apply both to the contest data Loopwit holds (see Section 4) and, in its capacity as controller of AdMob data, to Google.

To exercise any right against Loopwit, please email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days (or 1 month under GDPR).

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

This section applies to California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA, you have specific rights.

We do not sell or share your personal information. We do not sell personal data to third parties, nor do we share personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising purposes.

If you take part in the optional contest described in Section 4, Loopwit collects the following categories of personal information for the business purpose of operating that contest: identifiers (anonymous device ID), internet or other electronic network activity (gameplay progress events), and — only if you enter the contest — your email address. Outside of the contest, we do not collect or maintain personal data ourselves; your game progress and settings remain on your device only.

Google AdMob, operating as a service provider, may collect certain device-level data as described in Section 2D. Google's own California privacy disclosures are available at policies.google.com/privacy#california .

California residents may:

To make a CCPA request, email [email protected]. We will respond within 45 days.

9. Data Retention

All game progress and settings generated by the App are stored only on your device and are retained for as long as the App is installed. They are automatically and permanently deleted when you uninstall the App, or when you clear the App's data via Android's app management settings. Loopwit does not retain any copies of this data.

For the contest backend described in Section 4: contest email addresses are automatically deleted after the contest ends, plus a short grace period. Anonymous device identifiers and gameplay progress events may be retained for as long as needed to verify contest integrity, after which they are purged. You can request deletion of your contest data at any time by emailing [email protected].

For data retained by Google AdMob, please refer to Google's retention policies .

10. Children's Privacy

Plop: Gary and Otto is a general-audience casual game. It is not specifically directed at children under 13 (US), under 16 (EU/UK), or under the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction. The App's content rating on Google Play is rated for Everyone.

The optional contest described in Section 4 is restricted to users aged 18 and over; entrants must confirm their age before submitting an email address. We do not knowingly collect contest data, including email addresses, from minors. If we learn that a contest entry was submitted by someone under 18, we will delete it.

Outside of the contest, we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. We do not profile users by age, and all users of the App receive the same privacy protections described in this policy.

Google AdMob operates in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable children's privacy laws. Personalised advertising via AdMob is subject to Google's own child-safety policies. We have not flagged the App as child-directed in the AdMob console, consistent with the general-audience rating.

If you believe a child has provided personal data through the App, please contact us immediately at [email protected] and we will take prompt action.

11. International Data Transfers

Your local game progress and settings never leave your device and are therefore never transferred internationally. However, the contest backend data described in Section 4 (anonymous device identifier, gameplay progress events, and, if you enter the contest, your email address) is transferred to and stored in the United States, where our backend infrastructure (Amazon Web Services) is hosted.

For users in the EEA or UK, Loopwit relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, or other appropriate safeguards recognised under GDPR/UK GDPR, to legitimise this transfer of contest data to the United States.

Google AdMob, as an independent data controller, may transfer data internationally, including to the United States and other countries where Google operates. Google relies on the following mechanisms to legitimise such transfers:

Full details of Google's transfer mechanisms are available in Google's Privacy Policy .

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will also post a notice within the App or on this page for at least 30 days before the change takes effect.

Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree with the changes, please uninstall the App.

Previous versions of this policy are available on request by emailing [email protected].
